Reducing energy consumption and CO2 emissions

Our commitment to sustainability is an integral part of our global business strategy. Across all of our businesses, we have a global ambition to reduce our total environmental impact by 50% by 2029.

At the end of 2021, Roche was ranked as one of the top three most sustainable healthcare companies in the Dow Jones Sustainability Indices for the thirteenth year running. We strongly believe in the importance of sustainable practices that leave a better planet for us and the generations to come.

Roche has reduced CO2 emissions per employee by 25% in the UK from 2014-20191. 

 

Energy consumption per employee was reduced by 34% between 2014 - 20191. This is more than twice the industry average2.
